Free Gardening Workshop July 12!
10 Jul 2010 Leave a Comment
Neighbors: Join us at Macomb Park this Monday evening (July 12, from 6-7:30 pm) for a “native wildlife garden workshop” and hands-on installation led by the District Departments of the Environment/Parks and Recreation.
We need at least 15 neighbors — so please show your support!
Why come? Because you’ll:
- help to beautify a neglected but very visible part of the park .
- learn about different types of DC native plants, the importance of pollinators, and how to incorporate a wildlife garden into your own yard.
- receive a Backyard Habitat kit, including pollinator-friendly plants, bird houses and other goodies.
The event is sponsored by the District Department of the Environment and the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Kids are welcome!
